 Andrea- artist, designer, architect... Andrea Claire is an artist & architect living and working in Brooklyn and Marfa, Texas. She earned her MFA at California Institute of the Arts and BFA, and B.Architecture at Rhode Island School of Design. Andrea is president of Andrea Claire Projects, a design firm, and has been a registered architect in NY State since 2003. In the past she has worked with the firms The Rockwell Group, Frank Gehry and Assoc., and Rafael Vinoly, among others. She has had solo art shows at I-20 Gallery, Caren Golden FA, and The Chinati Foundation in Marfa, Texas. She’s been in group shows at Elizabeth Dee Gallery, Blackston Gallery, Bellwether, The Corcoran Museum, and Muller DiChira in Berlin, among others. In 2003 Andrea was awarded a public art commission by Art in General. She was chosen to the AIM program at the Bronx Museum, and done artist residencies at the Chinati Foundation, the Atlantic Center for the Arts, and the Vermont Studio Center. |
